BRITISH HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF SIX, comprising three blue-decorated Chinoiserie examples including a tankard depicting a figure in a garden and two shallow bowls, each featuring stylized scenes with pagodas, a Gaudy cup and saucer set with bright polychrome Single Rose pattern, and a children's plate featuring detailed polychrome floral bouquet motif. Plate having hand-brushed "299 / x" to underside, otherwise unmarked. First quarter 19th century. 6 1/4" HOA.
Literature: Single Rose cup and saucer parallel Shuman - The Collector's Encyclopedia of Gaudy Dutch & Welsh, p. 45, pl. bottom left.

Condition
