Description

ENGLISH WORCESTER PORCELAIN BLUE AND WHITE ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, each having floral motif, comprising a reticulated basket, three tea caddies including one with fence pattern, and a guglet/water bottle having additional fruit, pine cone and butterfly design. Marks to underside include some with crescent moon and each having museum accession number to underside. Second half 18th century. Basket and stand 4 1/8" HOA.

Property deaccessioned by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association, Mount Vernon, VA.

Condition

Two tea caddies undamaged; guglet with minute chip and a bruise to mouth, having a few scattered scratches from use; basket having an approximately 1" loss to rim; one tea caddy with moderate crack extending from base and curved around body. Manufacturing flaws including guglet with glaze imperfection to interior of mouth, as made.
