CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN HAND-PAINTED MONUMENTAL BOLTED VASE, two sections, comprising an ovoid-form urn with ormolu mount, elaborate scrolled handles extending from base to neck, having pastel polychrome scenes including one side featuring an amorous couple with a small dog at their feet, artist signature below dog, and reverse depicting a classical structure with columns and statue, having additional lustre and raised gilt decorations, and bottom pedestal including a square brass base with central bolted metal rod and porcelain scrolled foot with iridescent and lustre glazes. Lacking cover. Urn 21 1/8" H; base 12 3/8" HOA.

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.

Urn mostly undamaged, except having a loss to an approximately 1" L section of scrolled decoration on one side; porcelain section of pedestal base broken into several pieces, many present.
