An un-cataloged offering from the Daiwa Corporation, this 24kt gold plated reel is a rare model Sea Line 900 Gold Custom. According to Daiwa executives, a gold tip screw driver was used to prevent marring the gold screws used on this presentation grade reel, with production numbers limited to perhaps a few dozen. Company records were not kept to provide an exact number of 24kt custom reels built, however they do know for certain that the expense and time involved limited the examples produced. This particular reel was a gift to a long time Midwest tackle representative from Daiwa, and has remained in as new condition having never been used. The 24kt gold plated rod mounting hardware is still sealed in the plastic it was shipped in, all housed in a wooden, red velvet lined presentation case. A true rarity from the Daiwa Corporation.
