Description
These terrific pieces are signed by Acoma artist Eva Histia. The tall piece is a canteen with polychrome painting with what appear to be stylized fish, signed. The smaller piece, a Wedding vase with geometric shapes and lines, initialed on the bottom. Stand approx 5.5" tall and 7" tall. Histia (1914-2005)Â a member of the Roadrunner Clan was an active pottery from the time she was 8 years old and remained so until around 1990. NOTE: From the collection of Daniel Cutrone, professor at Cal State Dominguez Hills, specializing in preserving the four corners of Native American Indians.
Condition
Both appear in excellent vintage condition.
