Description
Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period hand painted blue and white Nanking export porcelain warmer plate bowl of scalloped octagonal form. Depicts a landscape depicting figures, boats, bridges, rockformations, trees and pagodas. Rim depics butterflies amongst scrolled vines with dragon scale patterns. No apparent marks. Probably Jiaqing circa 1780 - 1800. Measures approx. 2" height x 10 1/2" width x 9" depth overall including spout and handle. Provenance: Acquired from a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida private collection. Purchased from Phyllis and Louis Gross, South Orange, New Jersey for $240 in 1979.
