Carl Kauba (Austrian, 1865-1922). An Austrian cold painted bronze statue. A figural Western art work depicting a Native American Indian medicine man shaman animist, seated cross-legged, wearing traditional primitive tribal garb, and holding a peace pipe. Impressed signature to back of cloak KAUBA. The artist is ranked with contemporaries Frederic Remington and Charles Marion "Kid" Russell among the great portrayers of 19th Century American Western culture. Having a felt protector to underside.
Dimensions: 7 X 5.5 X 5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having moderate age related surface wear. Estate fresh to the market.
