in the Aesthetic taste, the dial signed Kleyser & Co. 69 Boro. High Street London
the rectangular case with inset bevelled mirrored panels to the sides, the front with twin fluted pilaster flanking the 8' brass engine-turned brass dial with gothic Roman numerals, the centre top marked Kleyser & Co, 69, Boro High ST, the bottom centre marked London and with gothic skeletonised blued steel hands, the corners with gothic roses, the base inscribed TEMPUS FVGIT, the twin fusee movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a large coiled blued steel gong, 63cm high
