Description
7 3/4 inch painted dial with (8) day brass movement on a lyre-form mahogany body with reverse glass painted panel imitating the strings of a lyre secured in place by a carved lyre-form door, supported by a plinth with acanthus leaf carved bracket. Likely John Sawin of Boston, MA c. 1825. 30 1/2 x 12 x 4 3/4 inches.
Condition
Lyre-form door warped and unsecured, craquelure to clock face, drop finial absent.
