Description
The lot features a carved Great American Bison Buffalo horn with bird effigy end and beadwork from the Plains Native American Indians of the 20th Century. The horn shows a large Bull Bison horn with the end having a carved bird effigy head and metal tack eyes. The neck of the spoon is covered in Indian tanned buckskin hide which shows thread sewn geometric beadwork pattern. The beadwork is all glass seed beads in colors of greasy yellow, Cheyenne pink, green, white, red and cobalt. Measures overall 10.75" from end to end straight across, 14.25"L across the outside by 2 7/8"D by 4"W.
