Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Japanese, 1798 to 1861, colored woodblock print on paper, Ukiyo e of Oda Nobunaga, From the series, Kuniyoshis Warriors collection, Musha e, warrior print, 1841 to 1842. Inscribed in the print upper to the center. Signed in the print to the center left. Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo e style of woodblock prints and painting. He was a member of the Utagawa school. The range of Kuniyoshis subjects included many genres: landscapes, beautiful women, Kabuki actors, cats, and mythical animals.
