Description
Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Incense burner in red tone Sumida pottery fabrication. circa Meiji period. Country oforigin: Japan. This incense burner has a drip glaze design on the top portion in ebony tone with white and blue. There is an applied pottery design on the lid of a Fu dog, and there are three childfigures on the top. This incense burner has two scrolled handles with O-ring drop handles, and it terminates on four cabriole form paw foot supports. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the right side that is signed in Japanesecharacters by the artist Ishiguro Koko. This incense burner measures 6 inches tall by 7 inches wide by 4 inches deep.Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation.
