Modeled as a wooden box bound by pink ropes forming a loop handle, the integral stand with coral and shells scattered among waves, impressed uppercase mark, M and T, registry diamond (20-I-A-5) for 20 December 1872, parcel 5, black pattern no. M2832/I. Height 2 1/2 inches, width 8 1/4 inches.

overall very nice condition; there is a small nick to the side edge of the cover; one corner of the cover appears somewhat rounded in comparison to the others, however, the glaze is consistent, it is as made; there are some minor imperfections to the body, in the making, not of any consequence; examined under blacklight
