Ca. 100-300 AD.
A freestanding cast bronze figurine of an eagle with its wings folded, open attentive eyes and its head slightly tilted. Expertly cleaned and conserved with a smooth patina. An aquila (eagle) was a prominent symbol used in ancient Rome, especially as the standard of Roman legions.
