Description
The group includes four photo postcards (unsent): "Mexican Troops leaving for the Front"; "Machine Gun"; soldiers in front of a shot-out storefront ("Mujer Valiente"); and "'Long Tom' Homemade Inserreto Cannon Presented by Madero to City of El Paso, Tex June 1st(?) 1911..." Together with four photographs (3 1/4in x 5 1/2in) related to the Mexican Revolution, three with handwritten notes/identifications in margins. The images show Soldaderas on horseback; Soldaderas doing laundry beside a train; gun on an armored train, captured from the Federals; and a Mexican Army train car. Overall good condition; scattered light staining to photos, and one with a crease.
