Newlove, John. GRAVE SIRS: POEMS. Vancouver: Robert Reid & Takao Tanabe, 1962. 1st editions. 2 copies: 1 copy in 1st state, the other in 2nd state. Allegedly, after the first two-thirds of 300 copies were printed, Newlove saved the remaining copies from a fire or flood, which were then rebound and now comprise the 2nd state. Both copies signed and inscribed by Newlove. Long quarto. Printed paper wraps with white and yellow/brown lettering: one copy with smooth paper, the other with faint 'waffle' texture. Both generally very good condition. *Additional images and detailed condition reports are available upon request.
