Chinese, possibly Kangxi period, finely potted Cadogan teapot in the form of a peach with leaves, tendrils and branches, glazed overall in deep aubergine eggplant-toned glaze with handle, brown glaze and green leaves on body. Concave base with tube leading up center for filling. H: 6-3/4 in. Provenance: from the collection of Stanley and Susan Riefer, Sag Harbor NY, collected in the 1990s. Ralph Chait New York Galleries sticker on the bottom.
