Photogravure of nude after the photo by Luxembourg-born American artist Edward Jean Steichen, (1879-1973.) Paper to verso of frame reads: "Copyright 1981 Aperture, Inc. 1996 Aperture Foundation Inc. All rights reserved. This photographic image was made by means of the Talbot-Klich photogravure process. The dust-grain copper plate was made by Jon Goodman in Newport, Rhode Island. The plate was made from the original negative provided by Edward Steichen. The gravure print was hand-pulled by Jon Goodman at the Photogravure Workshop, Hadley, Massachusetts, on three hundred gram Lana Gravure paper from the Papeteries de Lana, Docelles, France.This print is one of seven being offered from the portfolio entitled 'Edward Steichen: The Early Years 1900-1927' and is limited to 500 numbered copies and 50 artist's proofs. The making of the original edition of the twelve-print portfolio was authorized by Edward Steichen during his lifetime, and this single print is part of the original edition of 1000 numbered copies." Frame, approx. 22 1/4" x 18 1/2". Sight, approx. 6 1/2" x 8 1/4".
