Five ink drawings framed together, the sketches of a traveler, perhaps on the Grand Tour, all expressing an engaging and lighthearted sense of humor. All are captioned, though not all are perfectly legible. The drawings include a slender cleric with downcast eyes walking past several rougish fellows and a train engine, captioned 'A sketch made at (illeg.); a vender of tobacco pipes with the hands of eager customers reaching towards him captioned "Waiter!"; a set of four not very flattering drawings entitled "Distinguished Officers of the Austrain Army"; three girls with large bows and long braids captioned "A sketch made near Basle" (Switzerland,) and a drawing captioned "A sketch made at Trieste" (Italy) showing a rotund old woman in a bonnet carrying a tiny parasol and walking a monkey on a leash.
