With portrait photo and the poem "An Kandinsky" by Albert Verwey as well as the first printing of the essay "Rückblicke". The illustrations of works each with indication of title, year, size and collection. Title page with small defects. Paper delicately browned. Partly with soiling and small marginal tears. Last 4 leaves with small missing parts in margins. Well preserved. - Included: Postcard with New Year's wishes from Nina Kandinsky (1896-1980), the artist's widow, to the art historian Klaus Lankheit. Dated Dec. 30, 1979.
