AN ELIZABETH II LARGE SILVER SALVER, COMMEMORATING THE AMERICAN BICENTENARY

by E H Parkin & Co, Sheffield 1976, shaped square with a moulded edge and canted corners, engraved to the centre with the obverse of the Great Seal of the United States of America within a reeded roundel, the surface engraved with facsimile signatures of former American Presidents, raised on four scroll feet. 34.3cm square, 37.3 troy ounces

Marks very clear and well spaced. Engraved with retailer CARRINGTON & CO LTD / 130, REGENT ST / LONDON W1 to reverse. Presentation inscription 'NO 56 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 200 / AMERICAN BICENTENARY / 1776 - 1976' to reverse. Slight diagonal rocking between feet. Light surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use.
