Description
Pennsylvania (1890-1962). Signed and dated 1946. Three panel screen with original paint on canvas with painted wooden frame. Painted on both sides, various scenes include deserts, castles, farmstead, rivers and "Abe Lincoln and Ann Rutledge Romance". Minor wear and some surface streaks. Each panel 67.5"h. 19.75"w.Wagener was active in Pittsburgh in the 1930-40's.
Condition
Frame has some edge flakes and yellowed varnish. Panels are in good overall condition with one end panel having some looseness at the very bottom as well as dripped stains top and bottom on one side, the top one stops just above Lincoln.
