Pair of French Belle Epoque Plaques of Artemis and Britomartis
fourth quarter 19th century, gilt-copper electrotypes backed with resin, the plaque of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, with her bow and arrow aimed at a deer, and the plaque of Britomartis, the goddess of fishing and hunting, with a net of fish against a ground of sea creatures, both now in contemporary giltwood frames, marked "Geschutz" and "Depose", indicating where the designs were patented.

Condition
Both in very good condition with copious rich, crisp detail with a few areas of faint rubbing. One with several small areas of bright green oxidation.
The "Diana" plaque also impressed "LB" in script.
The frames with mocha velvet liners.
PLEASE NOTE: These plaques are not bronze. They are copper electroplate.
