Description
[1] Small clock is a Mark 1 boat clock, has a 3-1/2 inch dial. Clock date is 1942 serial number is: 8906. [2] The boxed clock is called "The Navigator" with a 4-1/2 inch face first introduced in 1974 and is a Quartz Chronometer Newport sold at Shreve,Crump & Low Boston. [3 & 4] 12/24 hour Radio Room model. The red sections reflect periods of silence observed by radio operators to monitor airwaves for distress signals. Operated by a model 8k movement until 12/11/34, followed by the 11E and 12E movements. The green clock has a secondary hour hand for Greenwhich Mean Time (GMT) referred to as "Zulu" by maritime shipping. Serial number: 480528 dated 1-5-1945.

Provenance: Ship clock collection from a Bedford NY gentleman.
