Description:
20 pp. Illustrated from photographs; 2 bird's-eye maps. 23x20.3 cm (9x8"), folding vertically into brochure format, 23x10.3 cm.
Rare promotional booklet extolling the amazing commercial and industrial prospects of Richmond, California. In addition to the numerous photographic illustration, the brochure is especially notable for the large double-page bird's-eye map, 37x20 cm, showing the city and present or proposed industrial plants including Standard Oil, Procter & Gamble, Standard Sanitary, the Site of Ford Plant, etc. The bird's-eye map is produced by V. Nahl Studios, signed "Nahl Studio." There is a smaller map showing the location of Richmond, signed "Myron Nelson". The OCLC listing, giving locations at U.C. Davis and Yale, indicates it as being 15 pages, and "Prepared for Richmond Chamber of Commerce by Curtis & Sanders Advertising, Hall-White Co." Their page count seems in error, and we could find no indication of an imprint.
