Photographs of the work of Henry Clay Smith, an American architect who worked primarily in San Francisco Bay Area. He is most noted for his buildings on San Francisco's hilly terrain, and became known as "The Hillside Architect." Smith was adept at many architectural styles, from Spanish, Mission and Tudor Revival to Italian Renaissance and Neo-Classicism, often informed with an Arts and Crafts sensibility. OCLC locates three copies, at the San Francisco Public Library, the University of California Berkeley, and the Cleveland Public Library.
