TWO LARGE EARLY McLOUGHLIN PAPER DOLLS, 1800s. 11" "Betsy Brunette" with 3 front and back dresses and 2 hats, no envelope, circa 1870; And, 10 1/2" "Baby Blue" paper doll with 2 front and back dresses (open at sides), no hats, circa 1890. These paper dolls, part of the "Dolly Varden" series are the largest paper dolls that McLoughlin Brothers published. Commentary: Betsy Brunette has minor bend at top of head and at one of the dresses, both are missing envelopes, otherwise in very good condition with wear appropriate to age; Estimate: $120/200
