70. GERMAN AND FRENCH PAPER DOLLS, 1800s. Six paper dolls, ranging from 4" to 7", three ladies, one child, one baby, with vibrant colors and details, beautiful costumes and ephemera. The lady holding a baby, has three copies in different sizes. She is a French paper doll "Pauline baby and Annette", one of them is engraved and embossed and has additional front and back costumes; the other two are paper prints, one large (wish wear and scuffing) and one small. The German paper dolls, one child, one lady with 2 costumes (Miss Natalie Vanderbilt at age 18, missing right hand), and one servant with extra costume, are engraved and embossed, and presumed to be W&S/B as noted in Cynthia Musser's German Paper Dolls reference research binder.
