French Provincial Louis Philippe Carved Walnut Marble Top Commode, 19th c., the highly figured black marble over a cavetto frieze drawer and three setback deep drawers, on a plinth base, on rounded legs, H.-35 1/2 in., W.- 51 5/8 in., D.- 22 1/2 in.

The marble top has a few nicks along the edge and one chip to the proper right front corner. There is residue buildup on the marble from packaging tape and there are some ring stains as well. There are shrinkage cracks down the side panels. There is an area of chipping between the first and second drawers. Key is present and functional. Wear is consistent with age and use.
