Condition consistent with age. There are several surface scratches throughout piece. A somewhat large circular surface scratch can be seen on top proper left area of sky. There are approximately seven small brown spots/dots of residue visible on painting, primarily on sky portion of piece. The varnish has yellowed significantly, particularly at the very top of painting. Some paint loss visible in clouds, as well as, additional surface scratches in this area. The proper left side by frame has scratches and paint loss. The middle and right side of grass area along bottom has two spots of surface scratches. A blue mark is smudged at the very top of the oil on panel near the right side. It seems like the surface of the painting suffered scratches throughout and would benefit from a cleaning and light restoration. The linen lining of the frame also has watermarks with two large areas on top and bottom of frame. The wood portion of the frame has dents and loss throughout.
