Bailey, Banks and Biddle was a Philadelphia-based jeweler founded in 1832. Specializing in fine silver, they were commissioned by President Woodrow Wilson, a NJ native, to design the presidential seal, of which their creation is in use to this day. The inscription on the back of the Patek Philippe reads John F. Bruther, Nov 23, 1935. The Bruther family was based in Trenton NJ, near Philadelphia, and was prominent in the early days of the United States. The present example has a great Art Deco look and interesting provenance, adding to the collectability.

Dial is in good condition. Dial appears to be an older refinish. Case is in good condition with noticeable wear and scratches. Case back has an original inscription. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in good condition.
