Total dimensions: 45 inches x 26 inches.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Helene Girod De L'Ain (1926 - 1966) was active/lived in France. Helene De Lain is known for a post Impressionist style of painting closely associated with Eduard Vuillard and the group known as the Les Nabis that included Maurice Denis.Les Nabis drew alot on the Japanese flatness of decorative Japanese prints in Paris at the turn of the 19th century, and the wallpaper and tablecloth designs that infuse the colorful beauty of De Lains works were strongly influenced by Vuillards circle.A recently painting by Helene Girod sold at Sothebys for 1200.00.
