Vintage 10kt Lab Grown Ruby Ring, Men's, Sz. 10, Appx. 3.33. CTW, 1940's-1960's. his is a large deep red lab created ruby meaning it has the same properties physically, chemically and optically identical to itsnatural counterpart. Both have the same hardness and are made of the same chemical elements. The difference is the created stone was grown in a lab and the natural was grown in the earth. The stone is appx. 11.2mm by 7.5mm but exact measurement is difficult due to the setting hiding part of the stone. It is likely closer to 3.5 ctw. This has a ridged design across the finger. The ring is 12.5mm going down the finger and appx. 12.5mm side-to-side where it meets the band. The band is 6mm at top shoulders and tapers to appx. 3mm at the back of the finger. It is marked 10kt and tested. It isyellow gold with a weight of appx. 5.13 gr. It does not have a maker's mark. It is in good to very good condition. Typical vintage wear with some wear on the stylized frame that holds the stone. The corners of the stone are open and the frame is set on the sides, where you can see the wear on the long edge and less on the short edge. The stone is secure, with very light movement when tapped . The stone is in good ocnidtion with very minimal signs of surface wear. It's still good condition. (W111222.12X1 SS8939 J LD 11/23/22).
