Native American, United States, Archaic to Eastern Woodland, ca. 5000 BCE to 1500 CE. A set of 25 ancient Native American artifacts including 1 stone disc, 3 lengthy chisel heads, a smooth ornament carved from fossilized coral, and 20 hand-knapped stone arrowheads. The arrowheads exhibit a variety of different forms including lanceolate and triangular and have different tang types like bifurcated, base, and corner notched base. The chisels are carved from either light gray, beige and caramel, or mottled olive-green stone, each with a sharpened blade edge. All pieces are displayed within a modern Riker box. Size of largest: 3.5" L x 1.1" W (8.9 cm x 2.8 cm); (Riker box): 16.125" L x 12.125" W (41 cm x 30.8 cm)

Condition
Loss to tang of one arrowhead. Minor nicks and abrasions to some pieces commensurate with age and the knapping process, otherwise most are intact and very good. Old collection numbers handwritten on some pieces.
