As an artist, he explored a myriad of mediums and styles that range from sculpture to Batik (a method of dying patterns and images into fabric). John was fortunate to make a living at doing what he loved. The majority of his career 'was spent as an illustrator and art director for advertising agencies, magazines and department siore catalogs. He worked for Warner Bros. Studios for a while, drawing caricatures of the studio's celebrities for publicity purposes. As an Art Director , rceived many accolades and awards. He would paint commissioned works for private collectors. He did stray away from the art world for during two brief stints though, one as a Prizefighter and the other as Vaudeville song and dance man. John Rosmini definitely had a penchant for variety and adventure, calling him a Renaissance Man is no understatement. John was a man who could wear many hats and wear them well, but Painting is what drove him to create. He was constantly experimenting with any and all methods of his favorite medium. The reproductions available here are just a sample of the styles and techniques he has perfected over his illustrious lifetime. John was considered a master by many of his peers. Rosmini has studied with many other great painters, including Pablo Picasso. Picasso's influence is visible in the explorative styles that John uses in many of the works represented here. These paintings are paintings that John Rosmini painted for John Rosmini, some of his personal favorites. The paintings he called his "Children." The original works remain in the Rosmini family's collection as heirlooms. The family decide to release these painting's printed reproductions so that the work's could be enjoyed by everyone.
