Napoleon III three-seater sofa, made around 1870. It has an ebonised mahogany wood structure, richly carved, marked by the sinuous forms of rococo, although the typology of the backrest, ovoid in shape, is closer to neoclassicism, in a free mixture typical of the Napoleon III period. They stand on cabriole legs, placed on small wheels and profusely moulded, with lines that extend around the waist, creating an expressive play of sinuous forms. The base of the backrest is similarly treated, with scrolls crowning the sinuous carved lines. A delicate carved bouquet of very naturalistic carvings, heir to the floral decorations of the rococo period, is placed on the top of the crest.
