Description
A lovely contemporary porcelain tea set by Mary Roehm, who was the Executive and Artistic Director of Pewabic Potter in the 1990s. Best known for her paper-thin wheel-thrown cast porcelain vessels, this is an incredible example of Roehm's oeuvre. She manipulates the forms, so the rims are not always perfectly round. This set includes a tea pot, 4 cups, and an interesting bowl that has a beaded effect with rounded ball shapes. Roehm's pottery is the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. From the private collection of the Franklin 1715 Gallery. In very good condition.
