1850 Georgia Schedule 2 Listing Slave Inhabitants

A census sheet recording slaves living in Decatur, Georgia in 1850. 1p, measuring 13" x 18", Decatur, Georgia, dated August 1, 1850. A partially printed document, listing the Slave Inhabitants in District No. 22, providing the name of the slave owner, the number of slaves owned, along with their ages, sex, color, and if they had any mental or physical disabilities. The slave owners listed are Mrs. Amoss (16 slaves), Jonathan Donalson (21 slaves), R[euben] Donalson (23 slaves), M. Donalson (18 slaves), A Hutchins (1 slave), and M. Curry (5 slaves). All of the slaves listed were African American and ranged between the ages of 1 month to 45 years old. The document has light uneven toning, with foxing and soiling from ink smudging. Chipping at the edges with minor loss. Very good overall.
