•Benjamin Colman (1673-1747), Congregationalist minister, Autograph Letter Signed, to a child, n.d. 1 p., 3.75" x 6".

•Isaac Taylor (1759-1829), English engraver and author of children's books, Autograph Letter Signed, to Thomas Williams, September 15, 1812, Ongar, England. 1 p., 7.5" x 9".

•John Lloyd Stephens (1805-1852), American explorer and archaeologist, Autograph Letter Signed, to Thomas Aspinwall, October 28, 1848, New York. 1 p., 7.875" x 8.625".

•Henry Thomas Buckle (1821-1862), English historian, Autograph Letter Signed, to Mr. Milner, May 15, [no year], London, England. 4 pp., 4.5" x 7".
"I have a reference to it, but could not lay my hands on it without a very long search because it is buried among an immense mass of materials which are put away, and not yet arranged, since they will only be used in my special History of England after the Introduction is finished. I have a just quantity of similar facts; for I have been long convinced that what we may call the pathology of the human mind is an extremely important subject and will throw great light on the general theory of affairs if treated historically and not merely psychologically, as hitherto been the case."

- James Anthony Froude (1818-1894), English historian and novelist, Autograph Letter Signed, May 17, [no year], Salcombe, England. 3 pp., 4.5" x 7".

- Jules Michelet (1798-1874), French historian, Autograph Letter Signed, n.d., Montauban, France. In French. 2 pp., 5.5" x 8.25".

- James Savage (1784-1873), American banker and antiquarian, Autograph Letter Signed, January 17, 1857, [Boston, Massachusetts]. 2 pp., 4" x 5".

- George Henry Lewes (1817-1878), English philosopher and theatre critic, and companion of Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot, 1819-1880), Autograph Letter Signed, to N. Teübner, April 15, 1862, London, England. 1 p., 4.375" x 7".

- William Smith (1813-1893), English lexicographer, Autograph Letter Signed, to A. Vogue, March 21, 1865. 2 pp., 4.5" x 7".
