Titled "7 U.F.O" and modeled after a series of paintings by the artist, this portfolio is number 12 of a total edition of 75.
Portfolio measures 26"h x 22.25"w. Individual prints measure 25.5"h x 19.75"w.
Jean Leppien (born Kurt Leppien, 1910–1991) was a German-French painter. One of the most important figures in French geometric abstraction, Leppien studied at the Bauhaus Dessau with Josef Albers, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee.
The lot comes with the original accordion-fold order form for the series and a small number of other materials including catalogs, announcements and press materials.
