Provenance: awarded a certificate of excellence by jurors in the 42nd Colorado Springs Art Guild
Born in Germany, Hans Ressdorf became a painter of Impressionist landscapes, still lifes, and architecture native to the state of Arizona, where he settled in Tucson. He emigrated to the United States in 1918, and from 1978, has been a full-time painter. In Germany, he studied with Impressionists Paul Dalen and G. Martin and during World War II as a conscripted German soldier, was exposed to French artists when he was stationed in Paris.
