Hayes and three other men on cane head, one wooden cane with a bald eagle over an American flag on the handle, marked "G.A.R." and "Grand Army of the Republic / 1863 Veteran 1863", one "The Party of the People" cane with a donkey on the cane head, and to one commemorative cane for the "Annual Encampment G.A.R. Sept. 20th 1892 Washington D.C."
