A silk ikat panel, A silk ikat panel, late 19th/early 20th century, Central Asian, probably Uzbekistan, woven in polychrome silks with a series of alternating parallel bands, with bold stylised repeat patterns in shades of magenta, yellow and white, 122 x 183.5cm Condition Report: Made up of 5 sections sewn together at the selvage. Few small horizontal tears and one larger of approximately 16cm. Small seam poking through in one area. Some small plucks and loose threads. Some small stains and marks (see photos). Overall the colours are still very strong and look very striking. Would benefit from a few small repairs, mounting and glazing but overall in excellent cosmetic condition.
