AMERICAN COUNTRY PAINTED WAGON SEAT / CHILD'S SETTEE, double-seat form with turned finials flanking two-slat back, shaped arms, woven-splint seat, and turned legs joined with box stretcher. Retains an old red-painted surface. Second half 19th century. 30 1/4" HOA, 15" H seat, 14" D seat.
Provenance: The Important Americana Collection of Barbara M. and the late Charlie Hunter, Staunton, VA.
