"The Indians of the Painted Desert Region Hopis, Navahoes, Wallapais, Havasupais. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs, includes a full-page illustration of the Snake Dance. George Wharton James (1858-1923) was a prolific and popular author and photographer who wrote numerous books and pamphlets on California and the American Southwest. This tan clothbound hardcover gold gilt book is in good overall condition, slight scuffing to cover edges. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing, no other obvious marring noted. Measures 5.75"W x 8.25"L x 1.25"D
