Featured in this lot is this Louisiana miniature carved Voodoo mask circa 1950's. The mask is wonderfully and professionally crafted hardwood construction with grass shown at the bottom of the mask. The mask is hand carved with geometric patterns adorning the face of the mask with eyes a nose and a mouth. The condition of this Voodoo mask is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this Voodoo mask is 9" x 1 7/8" x 5/8". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Truly an outstanding example.
