PROVENANCE: The Exceptional Collections of Lieutenant General Cai Wenzhi 蔡文治 (1911 - January 9, 1994), Courtesy Name: Dingwu 定武, Spouse: Madame Wu Peiqi 吳佩琪 (Wu Peifu's 吳佩孚's younger sister). Cai Wenzhi born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province (Xinzhou District, Wuhan City). Graduated from the ninth period of the Whampoa Military Academy and the thirteenth period of the Army University. Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army.

LOT NOTES/ ARTIST BIO:
Wang Shizi - 王狮子, AKA: Wang Wei 王偉 (1885 - 1950) whose real name was Wei 緯, was later changed to Wei 偉, styled Shimei 師梅, and his nickname was changed to Shizi 狮子 when he was forty. A native of Jurong, Jiangsu. He studied in Japan in his early years and graduated from the Tokyo Fine Arts School. After returning to China, she taught at Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School, Jiangsu Provincial Women's Sericulture School, Fujian Private Jimei Middle School, etc. After living in Shanghai, he served as a professor at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Xinhua Art Academy and other schools.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
