Rare Miao Festival Jacket And Loincloth, Kaili, China, Early 20th C. Indigo-dyed jacket with satin applique and embroidery on the sleeves with 7 metal buttons. The loincloth is composed of a cotton indigo-dyed backing with satin applique and embroidery similar to the sleeves on the jacket with fringe embellished with metal. From the collection of David Kenny, formerly of the Trocadero in Washington, D.C. Size: 1) 26'' x 45'', (66 x 114 cm); 2) 19'' x 20'', (48 x 51 cm).
