Miao Woman's Festival Jacket, Dandu Style, China, Mid 20th C. Indigo calendered cotton stiffened with egg whites which make the cloth water resistant, batik-dyed spiral patterns, silk embroidery. White-collared Miao Group, Danzhai area. From the collection of David Kenny, formerly of the Trocadero in Washington, D.C. Size: 29'' x 49.5'' (74 x 126 cm).
