Description
Three books from the printmaker’s library. Eliza Gardiner (1871-1955) was a leading woman artist in color woodcut printing, so it is noteworthy to see what she kept for reference in her library as an artist and teacher at Rhode Island School of Design. One of the three books has her signature and date of 1938. This is a wonderful addition to a print collector’s library. Included – "The New Woodcut", "Voyaging Southward from the Strait of Magellan" and "American Etcher" volume VI, Arthur Heizelman. Details: The New Woodcut. Edited by C.
